We hired John because he’s a Master Arborist, runs a small owner operated business, and is one of the rare arborists who stays on site for the entire project, doing much of the work himself. We had a pine that needed detailed pruning, and he approached it with real care. He made small, thoughtful cuts and paused at each stage so we could evaluate the shape, explaining how each next cut would affect the tree’s appearance, health, future growth, and long term maintenance needs. From the initial estimate through completion, he was responsive, prompt, knowledgeable, and professional. His pricing was fair, and the quality of his work was great. We had him out to our house in June to inspect for pine beetle concerns. He professionally answered our questions and was not pushy to sell his service. We opted to use Verbonone pouches to protect our trees, and he helped make suggestions on how, when, and where to place them to protect our property from nearby infestations. We had a few trees on our property that had been victims from pine beetle kill. He make recommendations on how to address and stop the spread. We did the work ourselves, and he did not ask for anything. We gave him a small payment for coming out and offering advice, but he did not ask for it. We had him out again this week to cut down a mature aspen tree that we had to take down due to insurance requirements. It was a sad day for us because we loved the tree. John came out to evaluate our options on saving it while satisfying insurance. Ultimately, we had to take it down, and John came out a 2nd time to complete the task in a very timely and professional manner.
